Hello Meghan, so where are you from & where are you based these days?
Hello! I’m from San Francisco Bay Area, with a pie-chart of claims to NY, LA, and currently Utah where I attended university.
The title is brilliant. Did you have it from the beginning, or did it arrive later?
It just came to me! I’d been thinking of a bunch of titles I really liked, and then one day just quietly it dropped in & elegantly introduced itself as inevitable. I love a decision that shows up like Hilary Duff all dressed up for a dance with destiny… Just saves my executive function the energy for other things! Wrestling over how much I love things can be exhausting.
So, you’re coming to Scotland – ever been before?
No! I am so excited, I was made for mist! In both a poetic & phenotypical sense.
What’s one Mormon rule that would completely confuse an Edinburgh Fringe audience?
You CAN personally baptize your great-great-grandmum (IF you pass the interview)… but the ritual is NOT complete without a Fenton’s hot fudge sundae!!!
What are you most excited about during your time in Edinburgh?
I am so blissfully naive about what to expect, I can’t wait to meet new people I’ve connected with online and experience the beauty of the city. I feel like I’m about to dive into a hidden world that may or not be magic! So many shows look amazing and so brilliantly niche, I’m dying to see.
When you’re not performing, how do you plan to spend your time around the city?
Being silly, girlchatting up the ghosts with the good gossip… Gallivanting with the living! Making memories and being tapped for a big role in the best part of a story they tell at parties.
Is there another Fringe show that’s on your must-see list?
Just introduced myself to the neighbors on a top 10 compilation like The LandLady–between us and whoever else is about to take the Mormon-mermaid genre by storm! They are less prepared than a Prince on a ship to be swept away by the groundbreaking in a deluge of fire & waterworks… While we’re on the cinematic-oceanic, I do recall a one-woman Titanic was to be sinking somewhere on the schedule.
