Billianne

St Luke’s, Glasgow
2nd May, 2025

St Luke’s music venue in the City centre, right on a Glasgow Green, is a refurbished church that opened its doors in 2015 to host regular concerts. This particular Friday night its doors were open for a Canadian singer-songwriter called simply ‘Billianne’, supporting the band ‘Amber Run’. She graced the stage with some sultry vocals that are being noticed in the high end of the music world.

Accompanied by a musician, the duo played a mix of original songs and covers in a performance full of life and passion. Their new look of energetic vibes and rock n’ roll style also had pop at its heart, aiming us all into relaxed attitudes with powerful sounds.

Brillianne’s successful songs are something of a streaming phenomenon. When noticed online in a 2012 performance of Tina Turner’s ‘Simply the Best, ‘ it led to her vocal skill being praised and she continued to play covers until taking to the originals she plays now.

The venue’s own vibes have a down-to-earth appeal enjoyed by fans. Billianne released her new single ,‘Future Emma’, in the last months, a song about devotion, and her confidence on-stage bloomed well, showing great completeness in her work, especially for a young artist.

Her talent in making a good night for us at St Luke’s was all about her putting herself completely into the moment, determined to adapt it to fit wherever the moment and the stage may take her.

We could easily take it to heart with a flow, and earnestness ready to bring it to the world. Her vocal attention’s, in a big way were let out there, with sensational timely changes and fresh writing. Enjoying close communion between her and her fans, her accomplished sound was from depth, beauty and serenity as she approached her entertaining, set list.
